CREATIVITY – COMMUNITY – CONNECTION
I’m a poet, performer and creative facilitator of fifteen years plus experience, although my love for words began long, long ago. Currently based in Totnes, in the South West of the UK, I’ve lived and worked in Scotland (Findhorn Foundation), South Africa and Rwanda (with VSO), and have travelled widely both to visit family and simply for the love of adventure.
I’m a poetry slam champion, and have performed at Festivals and at The South Bank Centre. I’ve published my own poetry collection, and host a monthly poetry open mic (Word Stir!) at Castle Books in Totnes. I work widely in a variety of contexts sharing creative writing and poetry as tools for connection, self discovery and wellbeing, and of course quite simply for the fun and pleasure of it!

I’ve worked with Literature Works, Exeter City of Literature, Spork!,Torbay Hospital and the RAMM Museum, delivering writing workshops, writing on the spot poems in three minutes and offering taster sessions in Bibliotherapy!
I have written many poems to commission for individuals who wanted something unique to honour a loved one or mark a special occasion, and am currently working with several writers as a mentor, supporting them with their own writing in whatever way is needed, depending on where they find themselves in their writing journey. This one-on-one work, both honing a meaningful commission and helping another’s creativity to flourish, is work I particularly treasure.
I’m a skilled listener, a deep believer in the innate creativity in all and in the power of creativity to inspire, uplift and connect. I’m a voracious consumer of literature in all forms, a lover of nature and forever curious about the world and all the life I meet within it.
I look forward to meeting you! In the meantime, I wish you –
